It´s impossible not to love New York… Why? The answers to that questions are infinite & for sure, the reasons to love this city are endless. But, something´s true, if we were to ask any good fashionista the best reason to love NYC, this would be the answer: FASHION WEEK.
And eventhough some have already chosen their favorite designers, looking at the complete menu is always good.
The following 5 names are THE MUST-HAVE in every guy´s wardrobe.
ALEXANDRE PLOKHOV
Spring and Summer had never been so cold and obscure. From Russia, the designer has gained fame for always creating collections in “dead” colors, such as black, gray and white. Inspired on the Orthodox monks, Plokhov wanted to make a great emphasis on pure fabrics. Sticking to “Dark Elegance,” the brand´s slogan, he´s the perfect option for those that are always willing to take the risk and be a step ahead from the rest.
MICHAEL BASTIAN
Inspired on Donna Summer´s unforgettable music, Bastian created simple clothing full of freedom and movement. Light fabrics in very solid and strong colors, were the main characters of the runway. Just like some other designers, Bastian proposed the mix between formal clothes with sportswear pieces. How could the collection be defined? The perfect combination between a good amount of preppy style with a very bohemian accent. Once again, Bastian showed us, that a well-dressed man will always be a great topic to discuss in a conversation.
RALPH LAUREN
Classic style never dies, and Ralph Lauren is the perfect example for that. Considered as one of the designers that best represents the style of high-society in America, Lauren decided to stick to his well known “preppy-style,” for the next upcoming seasons. Three-piece suits, leather jackets and eye-catching bow ties, were definitely the things that owned the show.
Ralph Lauren SS 2013: the right collection for those men that know that classic style will never be wrong.
TODD SNYDER
A guy has to have fun without forgetting to be comfortable. And it seems like Todd Snyder wanted to portray that very important rule on his new collection. Inspired on the Sahara Desert, Snyder created the perfect clothes for the city-men that love natural environments. The designer, who was once in charge of bringing J.Crew Menswear back to life, prepared interesting outfits were many textures and fabrics became a great piece of urban art. Certainly, Synder is the type of guy that pays attention to every single detail. Freedom+Style… Is there a better formula?
ANTONIO AZZUOLO
“Keep it simple.” Those are the three words that every guy should keep in mind. For his new collection, Azzuolo found inspiration on “the experience he has gained through so many years of hard work.” Probably, the favorite pieces of the show were the blazers. In different colors, such as blue, white and different type of prints, Antonio decided to use Nike tennis shoes as the perfect pair of shoes for every outift. Simple, but elegant still, Azzuolo´s new creations are full of movement. Could we expect something better from this guy? You know what they say, if you want to know about style, find an Italian guy!
